When you feel like it's the worst time of your life , and there are nothing worst than the situation you are in now, you may find something good in it. Buddhism has shaped me and who I am right now. Let me be cleared that, I don't believe in something that can not be proved, I have a scientific mind. Though, I don't think it's a matter of what you believe or don't believe in, whats more important is the question of how well you know yourself? I have to accept that my mind is very complicated, and I am sure many have experienced that with yourself too, where you get confused of who you are, what you do, why you do it, so on and so forth. It's okay to have a blank on your mind sometimes, but you have to let it flows. Be relaxed and remember, you can't be happy all the time, wheras you can't also be sad all the time. Yesterday is yesterday, today is what you should focus more, so you have a better day for tommorow.
My post today is about knowing your body and mind. Body and mind are one. I learnt on my first time yoga class that everything is possible and it's all about the balance. I learnt a lot on my first class and on top of that I leant to listen to my body. For instance, a pose where I have to twist my buttock, I got hurt, and I listened to my body not to resist it and continue that pose. I learnt how to let it be because we cant just control what the nature gives you. Sometimes, in reality, you may have to learn to " let go " and realize that permanency does not exist, and you will find ways..to solve the problem or at least be more relaxed from letting your thoughts go.
'Yoga is a simple process of reversing the ordinary outward flow of energy and consciousness so that the mind becomes a dynamic center of direct perception no longer dependent upon the fallible senses but capable of actually experiencing Truth'. 'Step-by-step methods of Yoga taking nothing for granted on emotional grounds or through blind faith we come to know our oneness with the Infinite Intelligence, Power, and Joy which gives life to all and which is the essence of our own Self'. To me, yoga gives you a focus, positive energy, and better communication between you body and mind to become one. What I like about it is that consciousness we get from practicing yoga is considered as the fundamental ground of all being. The word " yoga" means "union, which are individuals consciousness of the brand and soul. When two different paths of our entire bodies, mind and soul are single , it is a little space where I find peace and happiness.
